Keyboard Shortcut Quick Guide
Summary: Superalgos offers a number of keyboard shortcuts to make working with the platform more efficient and user friendly. Keyboard Shortcuts improve your Workflow and contain functions like recording GIF`s.
Important: For all Mac Users please substitute Cmd in place of Ctrl.
Here is the current list of all implemented shortcuts and options for customization:
General Shortcuts
- Save the current workspace: Ctrl + Shift + Alt + Key-S
- Display Reference Connections: Ctrl + Shift + Alt + Key-R
- Display Parent Connections: Ctrl + Shift + Alt + Key-C
- Adjust Chart Aspect Ratio: Ctrl + Shift + Alt + Key-A
- Toggle Map Mode: Ctrl + Shift + Alt + Key-M
Tip: You can change the shortcut key for these general shortcuts by adjusting the config of your Space Settings node found under the Design Space node. See the Space Settings node page for more details.
Node Manipulation Shortcuts
- While hovering over a node: Select a Node to move Ctrl + Shift + Alt + Key-Z
- While hovering over nothing: Clears the selected node Ctrl + Shift + Alt + Key-Z
- Move Selected node to current position of Mouse Pointer: Ctrl + Shift + Alt + Key-X
Note: Node must be pinned in order to move.
- Retrieve a lost/out of bounds node: Ctrl + Shift + Alt + Key-K
Productivity Shortcuts
- Capture a static PNG image: Ctrl + F8
- Start capturing a GIF video: Ctrl + F9 hit the same key combination again to end the capture.
Note: Once the capture ends, it takes some time to process the capture and generate the final file.
- Start capturing a WEBM video: Ctrl + F10 hit the same key combination again to end the capture.
Note: WEBM videos are processed instantly.
- Display animation performance: Ctrl + Shift + Alt + F11
Custom Shortcuts to Nodes

It is also possible to set a custom shortcut to any node you would like. This is useful for accessing frequenty used nodes.
You may define this type of shortcut using the following procedure:
- Hover the mouse pointer over the target node until the menu opens up. This puts the node in focus.
- Click Ctrl or Cmd + Alt + your preferred key to assign the shortcut.
- A sign will appear below the node confirming the assignation of the shortcut.
Repeat the same procedure to remove a shortcut.
Note: When attempting to assign a shortcut with a keyboard combination that is already in use, the system will notify of the issue. If you insist by hitting the same keyboard combination two more times, the system will assign the shortcut as expected.
- It is also possible to set a custom shortcut to any node you would like. Simply hover over a node and hit Ctrl + Alt + your preferred key to assign the shortcut.

Shortcut Troubleshooting and Optimization
Important: If any of these keyboard shortcuts do not function as expected, please disable any installed browser extentions while using Superalgos as they can override expected functionality.
Tip: In addition to this, many shortcuts will work without using the Alt key. For example Ctrl + Shift + Key-S.
Warning: However, on certain operating systems or browsers omitting the Alt key may cause a conflict with preset system shortcuts. Therefore, the shortcuts guaranteed to work are those using Alt. But feel free to optimize as you see fit!
