Summary: The MESA Adaptive Moving Average (MAMA) is an indicator characterised by its ability to adapt to the price movement of the underlying asset.
MAMA on the Charts:
To determine the rate of price change, the MESA Adaptive Moving Average uses a Hilbert Transform Discriminator to determine the average value and signals market trends.
This indicator consists of a pair of plotted lines, MAMA and FAMA (Following Adaptive Moving Average), that give buy/sell signals.
The parameters of the MAMA indicator calculation can be changed by locating and opening the Javascript Code under Data Building Procedure -> Procedure Initialization under ’MAMA’ Product Definition.
