The third aspect to be defined are the rules for triggering the strategy and taking a position.
Many times, the rules to trigger the strategy derive from the analysis of the context. For example, you wish the strategy to be active when a specific trend is detected by some specific method.
The rules to take a position are usually referred to as the signal and the signal confirmation.
Those rules are the description of the specific event that determines when to enter a position. For example, the crossover of two specific lines, or a certain value on a specific indicator.
